My name is Sandra. My guess is I’m a lot like you, or someone you know. There’s nothing particularly special about me. At least I don’t think so. I work full-time, but my favorite jobs are those of wife and mother to twins.
Our little Bungalow is nestled in the foothills of the San Gabriel Valley and was built in 1920. If you’re a Bungalow dweller like I am, you already know they’re a constant work in progress. It seems they’re never done. Am I right? I bought my house in 1989 and have enjoyed every bit of elbow grease over the years that has gone into transforming the house into the home we live in today.
Reading is something we share as a family. I’ve been a voracious reader since my childhood and was always toting a book around. It’s not unusual to find me in the Reading Corner. I’m thrilled my husband and daughters are too. I even participate in a book club. Behind many of those covers, I’ve come across quotes and tips of inspiration that have motivated me over the years. They have become my Bits of Wisdom.
I spend a large amount of time in my Garden, not just working in it, but enjoying it as well. When you live in Southern California, you have to be a lover of the outdoors so I Get Out There as often as I can. I love to cook and aspire to be a Junior Iron Chef one day… or at least a judge on Chopped. I love DIY projects but must admit now that my kids are grown, I don’t indulge in nearly as many crafty ventures as I once did. I’m hoping to change that soon. As you read my blog you’ll find I have many interests and am always going in a million different directions, but for me, these make up My Bungalow Days.
