Reading Corner

I love to read.  Magazines, newspapers, books, anything and everything.  I’m always reading at least 2 books at once and juggling my periodicals at the same time.  When I was a kid I couldn’t wait for the Scholastic Book Club catalog to arrive in my classroom.  I’d take it home and check off all the books that I hoped my Mom would let me get.  We’d sit down together and discuss my choices and of course I’d have to compromise. I always checked two or three times more than what was reasonable.  It wasn’t that I was selfish or spoiled, I just loved books that much.  My parents loved to read and in fact we had a library in both of the houses I grew up in.

Books can be the perfect escape.  They provide mystery, intrigue, passion, knowledge and fantasy.  My husband is an incredibly gifted writer and shares my love for the printed word.  This is the spot on my blog where I shamelessly plug his blog and his work.  www.mortondesignworks.com  I hope you’ll check it out and let us know what you think.
